GS TOURS SIGN-IN

Participants are requested to sign in Friday 3rd May from 4pm at Tranquil Park Resort. A rider briefing will commence at 5pm. It is compulsory for all riders to attend this briefing.

At GS Tours Sign-In you will pick up your rider’s pack. In the rider’s pack you will find your

• GS Tours t-shirt

• ID tag and lanyard: ensure that you are wearing this

throughout the event

• GS Tours bike windscreen sticker: adhere to a clean

windscreen.

BIKE PREP

Please ensure that your bike is ready for the event by being within the recommended service intervals and items like brake pad and chain wear have been checked. If you are unsure of what to check for please consult your local BMW dealer for advice.

TYRES

Please ensure your motorcycle is fitted with knobbie style tyres. Smooth profile dual sport tyres offer little traction if the trails become wet. Another good idea is for bikes with tubed tyres to have ultra heavy duty tubes fitted to reduce the chance of punctures.

THE ROUTE

A description of the route will be provided at the rider briefing and a corner man system will be used to navigate riders along the route. Again further details of this will be provided at the rider briefing which all riders need to attend. Please note: GPS files will not be required for this event and will not be supplied.

DAILY RIDER CHECK IN

All riders are required to check in on arrival following the day’s ride. Daily rider check in forms an integral part of our safety procedure to monitor that every rider reaches the daily destination. If you arrive at the destination but do not check in, valuable resources are spent contacting you to  find your whereabouts. Please proceed straight to check in once you reach the destination and notify the Event Manager that you have arrived.

RIDING GEAR

It is a condition of entry that Riders at all times during the tour use adequate safety equipment and appropriate riding gear. A list of recommended gear is available on the GS Tours webpage under What to Pack.

EVENT TYRE AND TECH SUPPORT

As with all BMW Safari events it is recommended for riders to carry some key tools with them. For example, tools required to remove wheels or fix a flat. This can mean the difference between fixing a flat quickly and easily, or waiting for the support vehicle.

CANCELLATION

In the unfortunate circumstance that you need to withdraw from the Event, you can do this at any time by notifying the Event Provider in writing by email to info@motodev.com.au Cancellation fees are listed in the Event Terms and Conditions.
