DESCRIPTION
This GS Tour will start with a welcome function and riders briefing at stunning Kooralbyn Valley Golf Course about an hours ride west of the Gold Coast. On Monday morning we will head off on our planned route making our way South into Northern NSW and fire straight into some Adventure Riding gold! The scenery and mountain views will blow you away as we park up for the night at Tenterfield NSW. From Tenterfield we head off on some open flowing farm roads through the hills on our way back North West and cross the border back into QLD. The change in riding conditions and weather temps at this time of year is truly amazing and that’s what Adventure Riding is all about. From mid week we make our way out West a little and then back into some of the ranges around the Maleny area. If you are familiar with any of this type of riding you know just how exciting the days will be! After 5 days of great riding, banter epic scenery and nice accommodation we will be finishing up on the Sunshine Coast for a well earned beverage and final dinner. This GS Tour is truly a South East Queensland experience like no other.

TEMPERATURE
Exploring Northern New South Wales and South East Queensland on an Adventure Bike at this time of year is the ideal way to experience everything that it has to offer. The weather will range from comfortable fresh mornings and great days as we are more coastal but as we make our way to Toowoomba and Kingaroy it is guaranteed to be chilli in the mornings and evenings.
ROUTE
The route is a first-time route for a GS Tour and starts out with a variety of narrower, twistier terrain before opening to magnificent farm roads and some fantastic trails. On this ride, you'll have the impression of being in the Australian Outback at moments and not far from civilisation at others. Through the Hinterland and ranges the pace will come right down as the terrain gets a little tighter and more technical.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
We want this to be easy for you! All you need to do is turn up on your GS in your riding gear and have a WATERPROOF 55L soft roll bag with your personal luggage in it. We will carry the bags in the support vehicles for you. A small tank bag or tail bag is handy to carry gear liners, spare gloves etc. Below is a list of some items that can make the event more enjoyable.
• Two pairs of gloves, regular and cold weather
• Thermal clothing layer is great to add warmth without bulk when riding
• Gore Tex or wind breaking layer to ride in, especially for cooler mornings
• Goggles
• Camelbak for hydration and to carry snacks
• Warm jacket for nights
• Garmin Inreach, Spot Tracker or similar. While not required these are a great investment for remote riding, even amongst a supported group.
TYRES
Off road style tyres are required, we recommend Metzeler Karoo 4 tyres and this is what staff bikes will be fitted with. Other examples are Continental TKC 80, Pirelli Scorpion Rallye or similar. Please begin the event with new or as near new tyres as possible. We will carry limited spares but they are for fixing damaged tyres only, not for tyre replacement due to wear.
